Job Summary
The Vascular Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) plays a critical role in delivering high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from vascular procedures. This position demands a strong focus on patient assessment, monitoring, and management to ensure optimal recovery outcomes. The nurse will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including monitoring vital signs and identifying any potential complications.
- Administer medications and treatment as per physician orders and maintain accurate patient records.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding post-operative care and recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures within the unit.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the relevant state.
- Previous experience in a vascular or critical care setting is preferred.
- Strong assessment and clinical skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with patients and team members.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
