Job Summary
The Vascular Step Down Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing top-tier nursing care to patients recovering from vascular procedures. This position involves working in a specialized environment, focusing on monitoring and managing the recovery process of patients while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the vascular step-down unit.
- Monitor patient vitals, response to treatments, and overall recovery progress.
- Administer medications and manage IV therapies as per the physician’s orders.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and health maintenance.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and initiate appropriate interventions.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in the respective state.
- Experience in a vascular step-down or similar acute care setting is preferred.
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
