Install, upgrade, maintain, and support hardware and software in the voice network environment, including performing preventive maintenance and monitoring system performance. Troubleshoot and repair equipment, coordinate vendor service, implement software changes, and plan and coordinate installations and related resources. A bachelor’s degree in electronics or telecommunications is preferred, though equivalent experience may be accepted; relevant experience with mechanical or electronic fundamentals, telephony, cabling, and Windows is helpful. The role also calls for communications-equipment training or relevant network administration certification, project and installation planning abilities, independent work, and the ability to manage changing priorities and travel to off-site locations.
