Position Title: X-Ray Technologist (Radiologic Technologist)
Location: Akron, OH
Shift: Day and Evening Shifts with Flexible Scheduling, Including Potential Weekend Assignments
Bi-Weekly Pay: $2,160 – $3,120+ (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5,000 for Full-Time Positions (distributed progressively) and $2,500 for Part-Time Positions

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment to conduct high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures while prioritizing patient safety and minimizing radiation exposure.
  • Thoroughly prepare and position patients to ensure comfort and optimal imaging results, providing safety instructions as needed.
  • Calibrate technical settings such as kilovoltage (kV), milliamperage (mA), and film type to achieve clear and accurate imaging.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot radiology equipment, reporting any malfunctions or maintenance requirements to uphold operational efficiency.
  • Adhere rigorously to safety guidelines and infection control measures, ensuring radiology areas remain orderly and sanitary.
  • Accurately manage patient and imaging data within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Assist in the training and oversight of radiology students during their clinical rotations, fostering a collaborative educational environment.
  • Engage in ongoing education and training to stay updated with the latest imaging technologies and safety regulations, maintaining departmental competencies.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (preferably AAS or BS degree).
  • Current registration as a Radiologic Technologist (R.T.(R)) from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Valid Ohio state license for Radiology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year experience as a general radiologic technologist.
  • Experience within trauma, emergency, or surgical imaging is advantageous.

Physical & Professional Standards

  • Capability to stand, walk, and move consistently during work shifts.
  • Able to lift and reposition patients (up to 50 lbs) and effectively operate imaging equipment.
  • Competence to respond rapidly and effectively in emergency and trauma situations.
