Job description
The Yard Hostler plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective transit of trailers and containers within the yard utilizing a spotter truck. Key responsibilities include positioning trailers at loading docks, conducting inspections of equipment, and maintaining a well-organized yard to facilitate warehouse functions. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with a minimum of one year of experience operating a yard hostler or similar heavy machinery. A valid driver’s license from California and the capability to handle physically strenuous tasks in diverse weather conditions are essential.
