Job Summary
The CNC Machinist II for Vertical Lathe is responsible for operating and maintaining vertical lathe machines to produce high-quality components. This role requires proficiency in programming, setting up, and running CNC lathes, as well as a strong understanding of machining techniques and quality control standards.
Responsibilities
- Setup and operate vertical lathe machines to fabricate parts according to specifications.
- Program CNC machines based on blueprints and technical drawings.
- Conduct regular maintenance and minor repairs on machining equipment.
- Monitor processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Utilize measuring tools to verify tolerances and dimensions of finished products.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Minimum of two years experience operating CNC vertical lathes.
- Strong understanding of G-code programming and setups.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with quality assurance processes and tools.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
