Job Summary
The role involves delivering patient-focused nursing care in a specialized outpatient environment dedicated to cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. This includes various components such as patient assessment, triage, treatment planning, and ongoing follow-up care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care that is centered around the patient.
- Conduct assessments and triage of patients.
- Develop and implement tailored care plans for rehabilitation.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment processes and rehabilitation.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers, including physicians and the interdisciplinary team, to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support safe rehabilitation practices and emergency response protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Possession of a current and valid Iowa Registered Nurse license in good standing.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), or the ability to obtain them within three months of employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving duties related to the position.
