Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room (OR) at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care in a surgical environment. This role entails assisting in surgeries and ensuring optimal patient safety and comfort through the utilization of advanced medical technology and innovative practices.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing support during surgical procedures as a circulating nurse.
- Function as an RN First Assistant during operations if the appropriate credentials are held.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout surgical processes.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to implement effective care plans.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Illinois.
- Previous experience in a surgical or operating room setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical technology and research innovations applicable to the OR.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with healthcare teams.
