Job Summary
The Registered Nurse Tier 1 for the Emergency Room (ER) is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in fast-paced and challenging environments. This role involves assisting with patient assessments and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure that urgent and critical needs are met proficiently.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to individuals presenting to the emergency department.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in emergency response protocols and perform life-saving procedures as needed.
- Educate patients and their families regarding health management and services.
- Maintain a safe and sterile environment in accordance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Previous experience in an emergency care setting is highly valuable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions quickly.
