Job Summary
The Nurse Aide plays a critical role in supporting nursing and medical personnel by executing patient care tasks, ensuring a hygienic atmosphere, and facilitating the transportation of patients. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, the Nurse Aide also addresses emergencies, gathers specimens, and contributes to the comfort and safety of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist nursing and medical staff in delivering patient care procedures.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Transport patients to various locations as needed.
- Respond effectively to emergency situations.
- Collect specimens for testing.
- Support patient comfort and safety in accordance with guidelines set by registered nurses.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- First aid training is necessary.
- Prior experience in a hospital or sub-acute care setting, or enrollment in a nursing program is mandatory.
