Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist (CST) for General Surgery plays a crucial role in the surgical team by preparing and maintaining a sterile environment, assisting surgeons during operations, and ensuring that all necessary instruments and supplies are readily available. This position is based onsite in Manchester, Connecticut.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgeries.
- Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures.
- Handle and manage surgical instruments and supplies efficiently.
- Participate in procedures to optimize patient safety and care.
Qualifications
- Completion of a nationally accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Possession of a Surgical Technologist Certification from a recognized national body.
- Experience or proficiency in surgical skills and techniques relevant to general surgery.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a surgical team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
