Job Summary
The position of Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room involves crucial responsibilities in facilitating surgical procedures. This role encompasses working in a dynamic environment that is essential for the success of surgical operations, ensuring patient safety and assisting the surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including surgeons and nurses, to prepare for surgical procedures.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of sterile environments while ensuring all necessary surgical instruments are available.
- Monitor and manage patient needs preoperatively to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Support the surgical team during operations, providing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Participate in the recruitment process to help onboard new staff members.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Surgical Technology program or equivalent experience.
- Eligibility for Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits.
- Experience as a Surgical Technologist II or similar is preferred.
- Strong understanding of patient care needs and operating room procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a surgical team environment.
