Job Summary
The primary function of this role is to assist in the transportation of patients throughout the facility and ensure their safe arrival in designated areas. This includes using wheelchairs, beds, or wheeled carts to facilitate their movement, as well as handling the delivery of various items within the healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Escort patients to their assigned areas within the facility.
- Transport patients using wheelchairs, beds, or wheeled carts.
- Deliver messages, mail, medical records, and additional items as needed.
- Carry out related duties as assigned by the supervisory staff.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED/equivalent is required.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Ability to work effectively under time constraints.
- Physical capability to stand for prolonged periods and to bend, lift, push, and pull weights up to 50 pounds.
- CPR certification is preferred.
