Job Summary
The Nurse Navigator plays a pivotal role in delivering nursing assessments, educating patients, managing triage, and coordinating care within the interdisciplinary Spine Program team. This position involves collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure patient safety and maintain continuity of patient care while following existing policies and protocols.
Responsibilities
- Conducts comprehensive nursing assessments for patients.
- Provides education to patients about their care and treatment options.
- Manages triage responsibilities to prioritize patient needs effectively.
- Coordinates care among various healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient experiences.
- Maintains adherence to established policies and protocols to enhance patient safety.
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Clinical nursing experience is essential, with a strong emphasis on backgrounds in critical care, neurotrauma, orthopedics, or spine nursing being preferred.
