Job Summary
The Medical Assistant Floater is a vital role that requires versatility and adaptability as the individual will be expected to support various healthcare facilities and teams. This position involves assisting medical professionals in delivering quality patient care across different locations, ensuring continuity and consistency in service.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support including patient intake, vital signs measurement, and assistance during examinations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation of medical history.
- Manage patient scheduling and follow-up appointments to ensure timely care.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, processing insurance forms, and managing office supplies.
- Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff to enhance the patient experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program is preferred.
- Certification as a medical assistant (CMA or RMA) is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic medical software applications.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
