Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies as they arise.
- Accurately identify patients and manage the labeling and transportation of specimens.
- Assist patients and healthcare colleagues by answering telephones and addressing inquiries.
- Contribute to the training of new staff members.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary.
- Experience in phlebotomy and in a medical environment is preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills are essential.
- Proficiency in computer skills along with effective prioritization and time-management abilities.
- Phlebotomist II applicants must possess a valid professional certification.
