Job Summary
The position of Surgical Technologist – OR involves providing essential assistance during surgical procedures. This role includes the preparation of operating rooms, ensuring all instruments are sterilized, and offering support to the surgical team while prioritizing patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Ensure that surgical instruments are properly sterilized and organized.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments and supplies as needed.
- Monitor patient safety throughout the surgical process.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a surgical technologist is preferred.
- Understanding of surgical instruments and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively within a team in a high-pressure environment.
