Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room at Mercy Hospital NWA plays a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures. This position involves collaborating with the surgical team to ensure comprehensive care for patients undergoing surgery. The Surgical Technologist is responsible for maintaining a sterile environment, preparing surgical instruments, and assisting throughout the surgical process. This role is an onsite position located in Rogers, Arkansas, and works during the day shift.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the Operating Room and ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain sterile techniques and adhere to safety protocols during surgical procedures.
- Participate in the cleaning and preparation of the Operating Room post-surgery.
- Provide support and assistance to the surgical staff throughout the operative process.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist is preferred.
- Strong understanding of sterile techniques and surgical procedures.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to function efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
