Job Summary
The role of a Medical Scribe involves collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals in the Emergency Department by accurately documenting clinical interactions. This position offers hands-on experience in patient care, as well as an opportunity to enhance knowledge of medical terminology.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance to physicians and healthcare providers through precise documentation of clinical encounters.
- Work closely with clinicians, learning about patient care and gaining practical experience.
- Maintain a consistent schedule of 2–3 shifts per week, including weekends and holidays.
- Follow physicians during patient interactions for extended periods.
- Commit to a minimum of one year in the scribing position at the emergency department.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated responsible and mature demeanor.
- Strong writing skills with a focus on accuracy and detail.
- Ability to type quickly and accurately.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology is preferred.
