Job Summary
This role involves overseeing product design and facilitating the transition to production. The individual is responsible for analyzing engineering data and providing support for customer applications, product launches, cost efficiencies, and enhancements in manufacturing processes. This position includes planning and assessing testing procedures, addressing design and manufacturing challenges in collaboration with various teams, and maintaining effective communication with both customers and engineering staff to ensure that projects are completed successfully.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the design of products and manage their transition to production.
- Analyze engineering data to provide insightful support for various applications.
- Assist in product launches and identify opportunities for cost reductions.
- Enhance manufacturing processes through improvement initiatives.
- Plan tests and evaluate their outcomes to ensure quality and functionality.
- Resolve design and manufacturing issues through teamwork and collaboration.
- Facilitate communication between customers and engineering teams to drive project success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical or electrical fields.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience in engineering.
- Preferred experience with mechanical motion and motion control systems.
- Knowledge of gear motors, electric motors, and drives is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering design software is essential.
