Job Summary
This position entails delivering engineering and technical assistance for the MK 41 Vertical Launching System (VLS), encompassing installations, enhancements, testing, troubleshooting, and activities aimed at ensuring fleet readiness. The role demands the creation and upkeep of test protocols and technical documentation, along with support for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) production and quality assurance, as well as taking the lead in harvesting equipment from decommissioned vessels.
Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for MK 41 VLS installations and upgrades.
- Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure system efficiency.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test procedures and technical documentation.
- Support OEM production and assist in quality assurance processes.
- Lead the harvesting of equipment from decommissioned vessels.
- Facilitate fleet readiness activities related to the MK 41 VLS.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience with installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of MK 41 VLS.
- Ability to complete the 10-week VLS In-Service Engineering Agent/Field Service Representative (ISEA/FSR) course.
- Possess System Maintenance Certification.
- A high school diploma or GED is required, with an associate degree or relevant military technical training preferred.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance are essential.
