Job Summary
The Registered Nurse in the emergency department is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care through detailed assessments, tailored care plans, and the administration of various treatments. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient safety, offer education to patients, and ensure precise clinical documentation is maintained.
Responsibilities
- Conduct nursing assessments for patients in the emergency setting.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
- Administer treatments and medications as prescribed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive patient care and safety.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and care procedures.
- Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation in patient records.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Possession of a valid nursing license in Alabama.
- Preferably some prior nursing experience in a similar setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
