Job Summary
The role entails delivering patient-focused urgent care services, which encompass assessments, examinations, diagnostic tests, treatment procedures, and counseling, along with precise electronic documentation. This position also involves leading and mentoring fellow clinic providers and staff, managing patient care and discharge processes, while ensuring adherence to safety, infection control, and professional standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient-centered urgent care.
- Conduct assessments, examinations, and diagnostic testing.
- Perform treatment procedures and offer counseling as necessary.
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation of patient care.
- Lead and mentor clinic providers and staff to enhance team performance.
- Coordinate patient care and ensure proper dispositions.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection-control protocols.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Certification from a nurse practitioner certifying body.
- Unrestricted DEA license.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Preferred experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care.
- Strong skills in leadership, mentoring, communication, and teamwork.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
