Job Summary
The Hospitalist Nights position is designed for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant eager to provide high-quality care during nighttime shifts. This role encompasses the management of hospitalized patients, emphasizing the importance of comprehensive patient assessments, timely interventions, and effective communication with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients admitted to the hospital during night shifts.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary.
- Document patient information and treatment plans accurately in medical records.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and assist with critical care needs.
Qualifications
- Active certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Current state licensure to practice as an NP or PA.
- Experience in hospital settings, preferably in critical care or acute care environments.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a focus on teamwork.
