Job Summary
The role of a Registered Nurse within the Emergency Department involves delivering professional care to patients as a key member of a multidisciplinary team. The nurse will apply the nursing process effectively to achieve optimal patient outcomes while strictly following hospital protocols.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
- Apply the nursing process in accordance with established hospital policies.
- Maintain high standards of care and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an NLN accredited School of Nursing.
- Possession of a current New Jersey Registered Nurse (NJ-RN) license.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
- Additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required based on specific departmental needs.
