Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer / Tool & Die Designer will be responsible for the design and development of precision tools and dies used in manufacturing processes. This role demands a strong aptitude for engineering principles, along with practical experience in tool and die design to enhance production efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop custom tooling and fixtures to meet production requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize processes and ensure tool performance.
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for tooling components.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost assessments for new designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool and die performance in production settings.
- Continuously seek improvement opportunities for existing designs and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in tool and die design, preferably with hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Expertise in CAD software for designing tooling solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
