Job Summary
The role of Registered Nurse (RN) in the Operating Room (OR) involves providing essential nursing care during surgical procedures. This position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is a contract role lasting 8 weeks with the expectation of rotating shifts, including weekends. A minimum of 32 hours per week is guaranteed, with the potential to work up to 40 hours weekly.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and maintain a sterile environment during surgeries.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Provide post-operative care and support recovery processes.
- Document patient information and progress accurately.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Hawaii.
- Previous experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and protocols.
- Ability to work under pressure and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
