Job Summary
The Vascular Step Down RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients recovering from vascular surgery in a step-down unit. The role is essential in monitoring patient recovery, managing care plans, and ensuring safety during the postoperative phase.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to vascular surgery patients.
- Continuously monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
- Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized care plans.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and comprehensively in medical records.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the applicable state.
- Previous experience in a surgical or step-down unit is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of vascular conditions and postoperative care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
