Job Summary
The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) plays an essential role in the healthcare system by providing immediate care to patients with urgent medical needs. This position requires quick-thinking and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment. ER RNs collaborate closely with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their medical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Monitor patient conditions and document vital signs accurately.
- Assist in emergency procedures and interventions as necessary.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.

- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and emergency care standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Completion of a nursing degree from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience in an emergency room setting is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is often required.
