Job Summary

The Direct Support Professional Residential Floater plays a pivotal role in providing essential support to individuals with disabilities in a residential setting. This position is geared toward enhancing the quality of life for clients by fostering independence and assisting with daily living tasks. The Floater is responsible for ensuring a safe and stimulating environment, adapting to various locations and needs as required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and eating.
  • Provide supervision and support in daily activities and community integration.
  • Facilitate recreational and educational activities that promote skill development.
  • Document residents’ progress and report any significant changes to the management.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times.
  • Adapt to different residential settings as needed, providing consistent support across various locations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in a related field is a plus.
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a similar caregiving role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must pass background checks and meet the organization’s health requirements.
