Job Summary
The Medical Lab Tech II is responsible for processing and analyzing laboratory samples, as well as conducting maintenance and resolving issues with sophisticated laboratory equipment. In addition, they offer support to laboratory personnel and oversee various departmental operations, including inventory management, billing activities, and quality control assessments.
Responsibilities
- Process and test laboratory specimens.
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on complex laboratory instruments.
- Provide support to laboratory staff.
- Manage departmental functions such as inventory, billing, and quality assessment.
Qualifications
- A minimum of an associate degree or equivalent from an accredited medical laboratory technician program.
- At least two years of relevant professional experience.
- A valid certification from an endorsing agency, such as ASCP or AMT.
