Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become part of our expanding Breast Surgery team at Geisinger Medical Center located in Danville, Pennsylvania. This role emphasizes the delivery of high-quality patient care in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive assessments and care for patients undergoing breast surgery.
- Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families about preoperative and postoperative care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all health regulations.
- Assist in surgical procedures as needed and manage follow-up care.
Qualifications
- Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in surgical settings, particularly in breast surgery, is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
