Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Cardiology Stepdown Nurse (RN Step Down) for a 13-week contract position located in Cleveland, OH, starting on December 14, 2026, and concluding on March 14, 2027. The role involves providing care to patients transitioning from intensive care while ensuring their safety and comfort during recovery.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a stepdown setting, focusing on cardiological conditions.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and clinical conditions, promptly identifying and reporting any changes.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on cardiac health management and post-discharge instructions.
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
Qualifications
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
- Verification of nursing license and relevant certifications.
- Completion of mandatory health screenings and vaccinations, including MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and Influenza.
- Successful passing of a fit test and 2 Step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/Tspot).
- Clearance through UHS background checks and verifications, including criminal background and employment history.
- Completion of UHS’s competency exams and skills checklists as required.
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License or State ID.
