The Animal Care Attendant plays a crucial role in the daily management of shelter animals, which includes their care, feeding, and exercise, all while ensuring a clean and hygienic environment. This position also involves observing the animals’ health and promptly reporting any signs of illness or abnormal behavior to the veterinary team. Applicants should possess a high school diploma or GED and must be physically capable of lifting more than 50 pounds. Prior experience with animals is advantageous, and candidates should be prepared to work weekends.
