2nd shift, Sunday-Wednesday The Automation Technician will support automated and robotic manufacturing systems by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment downtime, and ensuring automated machinery operates safely and efficiently. This role works closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives. The Automation Technician will also document maintenance activities and assist with developing maintenance procedures and documentation.
Automation Technician Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated and robotic equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair automated machines experiencing downtime
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections using a CMMS
- Create and update maintenance documentation and standard procedures
- Support installation and servicing of automated equipment
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production and reliability goals
- Utilize hand tools and shop tools to complete maintenance and repair tasks
- Follow safety procedures when working in and around machinery
Automation Technician Requirements:
- 3–6 years of experience in automation, robotics, or related industrial maintenance roles
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills with automated components
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using CMMS software for maintenance documentation
- Ability to use hand tools and shop tools
- Physically capable of climbing ladders, working in and around machinery, and lifting/moving objects up to 60 lbs
- Experience with SolidWorks CAD software is preferred but not required
- Availability to work a 2nd shift schedule of four 10-hour days, Sunday–Wednesday
