Paralegal – Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights

The Paralegal will support attorneys in bankruptcy, restructuring, creditors' rights, commercial litigation, and related transactional matters.
Paralegal Responsibilities:
- Prepare and electronically file bankruptcy and litigation documents through ECF, including proofs of claim, notices of appearance, schedules of assets and liabilities, motions, and pleadings.
- Support Chapter 11 bankruptcies, restructurings, asset sales, and debtor reorganizations.
- Assist with creditors' rights matters, including foreclosures, receiverships, collections, garnishments, judgment liens, bank attachments, and other judgment enforcement proceedings.
- Manage discovery, document production, e-discovery, and trial preparation.
- Conduct lien searches, review UCC filings, and assist with transactional due diligence.
- Coordinate with clients, courts, financial advisors, and opposing counsel.
Paralegal Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required with higher education in Paralegal or Legal Studies preferred.
- Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience supporting Chapter 11 business bankruptcies preferred.
- Experience preparing and filing bankruptcy documents through ECF, including proofs of claim, notices of appearance, and schedules of assets and liabilities.
- Creditors' rights experience, including judgment enforcement and collection proceedings.
- Traditional litigation paralegal experience, including discovery and trial support.
- Familiarity with UCC-1 Financing Statements and lien searches is a plus.
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
