Legal Administrative Assistant
Location: Columbus, OH.
Pay: $75,000-$80,000
The Legal Administrative Assistant will have 2+ years of legal and/or office experience and will join a professional team in the Columbus area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying organized, supporting a busy team, and providing excellent service in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to both colleagues and clients.
Legal Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provides skilled, proactive administrative support to assigned attorneys and
others, as needed.
- Exhibits outstanding client service in greeting guests, scheduling meetings,
and conducting telephone conferences.
- Responds to requests with a sense of urgency and effectively prioritizes
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with real estate documents including but not limited to abstracts
of purchase agreements, leases, closing checklists, letters of intent, and
tenant estoppel certificates.
- Proactively monitors deadlines.
- Processes requests for payment and reimbursements as well as time
entries/billing.
- Assists in managing client contacts, emails, and print documents as well as
processing mail.
- Clearly communicates in a concise, professional manner.
- Creates, maintains and retires files in accordance with Taft’s Information
Governance Policy.
Legal Administrative Assistant Requirements:
- 2+ years’ experience with legal or office administrative work.
- Some education beyond high school or other coursework related to the
egal industry preferred.
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient command of the English language and standard grammar rules.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and DocuSign
