Job Summary
The Business Intake & Conflicts Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the processes related to client intake and conflict management within the organization. This position is focused on ensuring that all new business opportunities are evaluated effectively while adhering to compliance standards and the firm’s policies. The Manager will collaborate with various departments to streamline these essential functions, contributing to risk management and overall operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Manage the client intake process to ensure thorough screening and accurate documentation.
- Oversee the conflict-checking process to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to facilitate the intake of new business.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to conflicts and business intake.
- Provide training and support to personnel involved in intake and conflicts management.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements in the intake and conflicts process.
- Coordinate with IT to enhance systems supporting the intake and conflict-checking functions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in business intake, conflict management, or a related field, preferably in a law firm setting.
- Strong understanding of compliance and legal regulations surrounding client intake.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with diverse teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with conflict management software and legal database systems.
