Job Summary
The position of Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) in the Operating Room (OR) is a full-time role located in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, at Memorial Medical Center. This role focuses on delivering outstanding patient care and supporting surgical teams in a clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments and the operating room environment.
- Support surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary supplies and instruments are readily available.
- Participate in the safe handling of specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Follow strict safety and hygiene protocols throughout the surgical process.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, nurses, and other medical personnel to ensure optimal surgical outcomes.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
- Prior experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, and sterile techniques.
