Job Summary
The Clinical Laboratory Manager oversees the operations of the clinical laboratory, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely test results. This role involves managing laboratory staff, overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing policies and procedures to improve laboratory processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise laboratory personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Manage laboratory operations, including workflow, staffing, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate laboratory policies and procedures.
- Oversee staff training and continuing education initiatives.
- Coordinate with other departments to optimize patient care and laboratory services.
- Monitor laboratory performance and implement improvements where necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in clinical laboratory science or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- State licensure or certification as a medical laboratory scientist.
- Proven experience in laboratory management and operations.
- Strong understanding of laboratory regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
