Job Summary
The CMM Programmer is responsible for developing and implementing programs for Coordinate Measurement Machines (CMM) to ensure accurate quality control and inspection of components. This role plays a vital part in maintaining manufacturing standards and promoting the continuous improvement of production processes.
Responsibilities
- Create and optimize CMM programs using appropriate software.
- Conduct inspections on mechanical components to verify compliance with specifications.
- Debug and troubleshoot CMM programs as necessary to enhance efficiency.
- Maintain detailed documentation of measurement procedures and results.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address quality issues and improve processes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CMM programming and operation.
- Thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Familiarity with CMM software and related tools.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
