Job Summary
The role involves supporting registered nursing staff by delivering direct care to patients. This includes assisting patients with their daily living activities and providing emotional support, while also performing essential clinical tasks under the guidance of an RN.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct assistance to patients, including help with activities of daily living.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately.
- Document patient information and updates thoroughly.
- Assist with specialized treatments as directed by a registered nurse.
- Offer emotional support to patients in a compassionate manner.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Nursing Assistant Certification is necessary.
- Minimum of six months of experience in either acute or long-term care settings.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is essential.
