Job description
Job Summary
The CNC Programmer is responsible for developing and optimizing CNC machining programs to ensure high-quality production in a manufacturing environment. This role will require a keen understanding of technical drawings, machining principles, and programming skills to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring precision and accuracy during production.
- Write and modify CNC programs based on engineering specifications and requirements.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
- Review and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain documentation of programs and machining processes for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with CNC programming and operation.
- Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming languages.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and its application in CNC programming.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
