Job Summary
The Loan Closer plays a critical role in the finalization of loan transactions by conducting due diligence, fulfilling approval prerequisites, and ensuring that collateral liens are accurately established before the documentation process begins. This position requires proactive collaboration with various departments including sales, underwriting, and external vendors to communicate the clear-to-close status while upholding regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Complete necessary due diligence for loan transactions.
- Satisfy all loan approval conditions before document preparation.
- Perfect collateral liens as part of the closing process.
- Engage with sales, underwriting, and third-party vendors to facilitate clear communication of loan statuses.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations throughout the closing process.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in loan closing, documentation, or processing, specifically in commercial loans.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong understanding of lending compliance regulations and loan processing systems.
