Job Summary
The Consumer Loan Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing lending and sales potential within the credit union. This position involves engaging with members through interviews to promote and cross-sell various credit union offerings. A key aspect of this role is to achieve established sales targets while ensuring the precise processing of loan applications and delivering outstanding service to members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews with members to identify their lending needs and present suitable credit union products.
- Cross-sell various financial products to maximize sales opportunities.
- Aim to consistently achieve or exceed sales objectives.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of loan applications.
- Provide high-quality member service throughout the loan process.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Preferred 1-3 years of experience in consumer lending or sales.
- Competence in loan interviewing and intermediate math skills.
- Ability to secure and maintain an NMLS number.
