Job Summary
The CT Technologist is responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans, assisting in diagnostic imaging procedures, and ensuring high-quality images are obtained for accurate diagnosis. This role requires a strong understanding of CT technology and patient care practices, as well as adherence to safety protocols and imaging standards.
Responsibilities
- Conduct CT imaging procedures with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
- Prepare and position patients appropriately for scans to achieve optimal results.
- Monitor patients during imaging to ensure their well-being.
- Maintain equipment and ensure that it is functioning properly.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling of contrast materials.
- Keep accurate patient records and documentation related to imaging procedures.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Valid certification in computed tomography (CT) technology.
- Current CPR certification and knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow protocols diligently.
