Job Summary
The GIS Specialist will focus on the creation and upkeep of GIS data layers, maps, and reports aimed at ensuring compliance with Army Real Property standards at Fort Drum. This role involves a commitment to maintaining high-quality GIS data and effective communication of geographic information.
Responsibilities
- Carry out data quality control measures to ensure accuracy and reliability of GIS data.
- Conduct field data collection to support various GIS projects.
- Reconcile GIS data with existing real property records to maintain data integrity.
Qualifications
- 1 to 4 years of experience working with ArcGIS software.
- Familiarity with geospatial principles and SDSFIE standards.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a comparable field.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain the necessary security clearances.
