Job Summary
The Director of Nursing for Home Healthcare will lead nursing practices and ensure high-quality care delivery within a home health setting. This role involves overseeing nursing staff, enhancing patient care experiences, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Strong leadership and exceptional communication skills are vital to the success of this position as it directly impacts patient outcomes and organizational standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff, providing leadership and direction.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to home healthcare services.
- Develop and implement patient care policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations for nursing staff.
- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Monitor patient outcomes and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Provide training and mentorship to nursing staff to promote professional growth.
- Maintain records and reports related to patient care and staff performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Active nursing license in the state of practice.
- At least five years of nursing experience, including supervisory roles.
- Strong understanding of home healthcare regulations and standards.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team.
