Dispenser Service Technician
Location: Allentown, PA
Hourly Rate: $27.00 – $34.00
Position Summary:
The Dispenser Service Technician is responsible for delivering essential services related to the installation, upkeep, functionality, and quality assurance of dispenser systems. The goal is to fulfill customer requirements and adhere to corporate safety standards. This role involves monitoring dispenser operations to ensure optimal performance, conducting regular maintenance, and diagnosing any operational issues to facilitate effective resolutions.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- At least two (2) years of experience in a related field.
- Strong electrical, plumbing, and mechanical skills are necessary; familiarity with AC, DC, and pneumatic systems is an advantage.
- Proficient computer and communication skills are required.
- Act as a brand representative for the company.
- Preferred certifications include forklift operation, manlift with articulating boom, scissor lifts, and working at heights. If certifications are not currently held, the ability to obtain them upon request is necessary.
- Capability to wear fall protection gear for periods of up to two hours.
- This role involves travel to customer locations across the region, with driving making up at least 30% of the job. Overnight travel may be occasionally necessary.
- Possession of a High School diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as regularly lifting heavy items (up to 75 lbs/34 kg) during equipment installations, climbing ladders, and managing hoses, airlines, and electrical cables in various settings. Must also be able to drive for extended periods and stay out of town as needed.
- Physical demands include:
- Walking/standing: 40-80%
- Sitting: 30-50%
- Lifting (up to 70 lbs/31 kg): 30%
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated proficiency in towing an 18ft open bed trailer that is secured and loaded with necessary equipment and tanks.
