Maintenance Technician

$28-33.60/HR
3rd shift (10:45 PM – 6:45 AM)
The Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of commercial and industrial facility systems. This position involves a variety of tasks including maintenance and repair of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. The technician will actively work with electrical systems, engage in tasks such as welding and machining, and provide support for PLC-driven equipment when necessary. Candidates must have prior experience in an industrial environment and be ready to accommodate rotating weekend shifts and occasional overtime as required.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:
- Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on essential building utilities and systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Execute general electrical work, including diagnosing and repairing systems in commercial buildings.
- Assist with facility infrastructure tasks involving piping, welding, machining, and light fabrication as required.
- Occasionally collaborate with PLC-driven systems (familiarity with 480V systems is preferred).
- Engage in rotating weekend duty (every other weekend) and be available for occasional overtime.
- All overtime work will be compensated at a rate of time and a half, including weekends.
Qualifications for the Maintenance Technician:
- 3-10+ years of direct maintenance experience in commercial or industrial settings.
- Robust understanding of commercial electrical systems, particularly 480V.
- Knowledgeable in machining, welding, piping, and general fabrication techniques.
- Familiarity with PLC programming or troubleshooting is an asset.
- Able to work comfortably within a large industrial environment (not focused on residential or home repairs).
